Privacy: local processing only
SnipSize processes your photos and videos in the browser with WebAssembly. Your media is not uploaded to our servers for compression.
Your media stays on your device
Compression happens locally via WASM and Web Workers. We do not operate a media upload API for encoding your files in the cloud.
What that means in practice
- Dropped files are read in the browser and processed in memory.
- Downloads are generated as local Blobs on your machine.
- Account features are not available yet; there is no signed-in media library.
Ordinary website traffic
Like any website, your browser still requests the SnipSize app shell, scripts, and WASM assets from the host. That is not the same as uploading your photo or video for server-side compression. If we add analytics later, this page will be updated; today the product focus is local processing.
